Okay, my bad. I didn't look at the photo or read the caption closely enough to notice that the rear coach wasn't an ACES car, but an NJT cab car. Now I understand...

Is there some sort of incompatibility issue between the ALP-44s and the PL42ACs? You would think that the electrics could have stayed on the trains, even if the P40s came off.
