Thanks for the call times. For 20 years I have driven from Aptos to Capitola along that route everyday. Often I would see the Southern Pacific and later the Union Pacific trains heading north or south along that stretch of track. I always wanted to take a day off to chase the train and take photos, but my heavy workload never allowed me to escape. Now Southern Pacific and Northern Pacific are gone and who knows how long Sierra Northern will work these rails. Wish I could have been up at Davenport when they removed the remaining cars. At least you and others posted some great photos. Would love to see photos of the 1992 derailment at New Brighton.
