It was the lack of maintenance of the E-2 by the St. Louis Museum that caused the E50AB to go to Duluth. Powers at Milwaukee RR at the time were disgusted with how St. Louis had cared for the E-2, so decided to send the two units north instead of south. A lesson to all of you involved in rail preservation - take care of what you got, or you might not see much more. One of the reasons why IRM is such a success. ;-)
