In Tillamook, this week I saw several of the old SP SD9s have had their number boards at the front of the locos removed. Was this done for a reason by the Port of Tillamook Bay or was it vandalism/theft? On at least three locos, both number boards were gone and I could see the three light bulbs where the glass used to be. And what is going to happen to those locos? Since all the freight cars are being/have been trucked out of there, why can't the locos be sold to someone who can use them? The best outcome would be to reopen the line -- lots of active shippers -- any chance? If not, what happens to the trackage?
