Anthony, Thanks for reporting what could be progress. NCRA was allocated 3.5 million in engineering costs to plan south end reconstruction; PERHAPS you saw evidence of that. A group along the right of way could be a lot of things that may or may not mean much. I wish you had asked what they were up to. When backhoes, tampers, ties and rock start showing up, then we'll have something more obvious. Of course nothing major is scheduled until 'next year'. That assumes that this winter's rains don't wash more away. We should be happy for the 1.5 miles of repairs [according to the NCRA website]; now there are only 142.5 miles to go [to Willits].
