Re: Rememering when Eldon Lucy bot traction equipt..
Wow !! Unbelievable stuff.. Where does this old guy get these stories from ? He needs to sit down and write a book. Too bad he doesn't have any photos for proof but he stated a while back that he lost interest and threw everything out. Too bad !!
I do have a correction for you 'ff' . That little four-wheel streetcar that Eldon Lucy purchased so many years ago from the folks in Saskatoon, Canada was actually CAR # 12 and not # 11. # 12 was used on the North-end of the Sacramento Northern on fan trips while the SN was still electrified. Then it was boarded up (semi-permanently) and stored in a derelict appearance at the Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Junction for some 50 years.
A couple of years ago, CAR # 12 was returned to its old home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and is now located in the Transportation Gallery of the Western Development Museum's "1910 Boomtown" exhibit. [
