1. Around a year and a half ago.
2. They don't operate to and from. The crew is on duty at Betteravia (their HQ) normally at 0800 and the condr takes the company truck to Santa Maria and picks up the hoghead and they drive down to Lompoc and on up to Celite at the end of the White Hills Branch. Normally it is everyday, but as slow as business is sometimes they don't go up there for a couple of days at a time. The UP crew on the Guadalupe switcher goes to White hills from GDLP on Tueday and Thursday, and takes up any empties and brings back any loads billed out.
3. The engine is an SW1500, but I do not know it's history. Maybe someone on here will come up with that info. The engine is owned by the Celite Corp. which is in turn owned by the Imery Corp from France.

Hope this helps....
