Stampede Subdivision

Just wondering the amount of trains (scheduled, or extras) running on the Stampede line right now. Are they mostly Eastbound? Is there any particular times one should be trackside? I will be in Yakima next weekend (Victoria Day long weekend for Canada) and want to pack a little railfanning into the trip- that is, if my wife will give me some time......

On a sidenote, are there any bike trails on old ROW in the area?
