Oregon Trunk Stuff & Questions...

The wife & I just spent several days in Oregon Trunk territory, in the Deschutes River Cyn @ Maupin, OR. Current BNSF operations seem to be 2 mixed merchandise freights each way daily; S/B with DPU's entrained or on the rear & N/B with all power on the point. Good News / Bad News: seeing a contract crew w/ Hirail flatbed removing wires from telegraph poles between Maupin & Sherers Bridge. Good news as it eliminates potential view blocks for those who don't carry a pole filter; Bad news as another icon of railroading, lineside poles, will no doubt disappear soon. Also, several Searchlight signals have been replaced with Tri - Color types; including South Maupin & Redmond, OR.
Questions: Does Ewe - Pee still operate on Oregon Trunk ??? If so, when does their local operate ??? I saw no sign of it Thursday PM thru Saturday PM.
