Here's how it's supposed to work:

If there are cars for the zone, it's served by the YOA72 sometime between 1 and 11 AM on Tuesdays and Thusdays and if there is a crew off the extra board available also on Fridays between about 10 AM and 4PM by an extra yard job that's run as a YOA76. However, trips are sometimes made on other days and/or by the Emeryville Job (YOA78, on duty at 7 AM)), as warranted. These jobs are on duty at West Oakland, go to the East Oakland Yard, then to ConAgra and/or Veronica Food via the old "Alameda Main" (parallel to Fruitvale Avenue) and on the street trackage in Glascock. After they're done, they normally return directly to West Oakland (entering the yard at CP King / CP Magnolia) with any empties.

Approximately 50-55 cars of wheat were hauled from West Oakland to East Oakland this afternoon. ConAgra orders it in in cuts that average 20 cars or so, so you can expect some activity for the next few days. Power is typically a single GP38-2; sometimes a GP40-2 or a GP15-1. The jobs will talk to Dispatcher 62 (might be called 262 now) on Channel 46 when they need to use the mainline, so if you have a radio keep yer ears open. Switching is usually done on Channels 66 or 38, but not always.
