As I understood it, the purpose of this test was to determine if the significant efficiencies of new locomotive technologies such as the "genset", could tip the economic balance enough to make operation once again economically viable. Ferreting out such a thing will probable require more than just one test, and then a lot of serious number crunching.
That such number crunching could have been completely so quickly is not likely. Moreover, the notion that anyone not an actual insider to C.O.R.P., would have access to that information is way beyond specious.
And even when they have determined this, you can bet that C.O.R.P. is not going to tell any railfan about it. They will just act upon it. We will just have to wait and see what they do.
In the meanwhile, unsubstantiated opinions are most commonly found on the barnyard floor! They are not helpful; unless of course, the whole point of pronouncing them is simply to be annoying in the first place.
Well Done!
