Passenger Special and Proposed Container Yard in Boise

Ran across this piece in the Idaho Statesman today. Watco is apparently wooing the city of Boise to support an intermodal facility on their Boise Valley Railroad. Rather surprising to see so much official support.....Idaho government has traditionally been rail-unfriendly. The Idaho legislature is populated by farmers & ranchers, most of whom have a long-standing (and at least partly justifiable) grudge against Union Pacific over rates and service issues. Watco seems to be trying to change that perception.
