Per Thursday's Tri - Cities Herald newspaper, there was an underpass project in Benton City which required rerouting BNSF Stampede Pass trains via the Columbia River Gorge. The project was to continue thru Friday. Therefore, I was surprised to see a Westbound general freight in the siding in Ellensburg, when driving thru on Thursday afternoon.
