Saw them at Albina Yard yesterday, and driving over the Fremont Bridge earlier today the two groups of ballast cars were still there. All appear to have been restenciled "SI" somewhat recently.

I wouldn't mind a SI painted RS-1...now where can I find an RS-1... Appears that 10 of the 12 were traded into EMD during 1969 (and presumably scrapped thereafter); two of them were sold to Chrome Crankshaft in December 1969. One of those two were scrapped in 1975; the other ended up on Central California Traction, and is apparently stuck in Willits, California. So anyone up for a restoration and rescue project?
