Thanks for the post; nice shots! I was stationed in Everett just before I left the Navy. I'll never forget how the air was constantly clean and fresh- and you could see and here the BN charging toward Everett from the south well in advance of notching off for the curve under town. The Navy base pier (or the fantail of the USS Ingraham FFG-61!) was an excellent vantage point. Bayside (?) yard was just outside the main gate, and you could watch the flat switching there, too. 1998 was the last time I was there, and the Everett depot still had a great deal of pre-BN flavor.
