Small detail - it's not the Empire Builder that would connect at LaGrande, but rather a resurrected Pioneer Limited, which is a long way off, fraught with all sorts of economic difficulties. And while there is some pressure from Oregon-Ida legislative delegations to resurrect Pioneer service, it appears to be a long way off.
