Uh Huh! - - -
Last time I checked my thesaurus, "situational Morality" was just the same old "Immorality" all gussied up nice and pretty - but it helps us pretend - I suppose.
As to "the end justifies the means", I could almost buy that one. However, only if all the possible "ends" are justified, can any "means" be thereby justified.
Since one possible "end", the fatal consequences if you got to the bottom of that offramp just as someone emerged from the blind corner, is defininately NOT justifiable, then neither is the means used to accomplish it. PERIOD
All the possible "ends" must be properly accounted for - not just the ones you were focused on.
This is an otherwise fun thread, as we confess our previous stupidities (we've all done them). But I would hope there is at least an impression left of humility at our own foibles - not justification.
