Yosemite Valley Centennial event

On Tuesday May 15th, the Niles Canyon Railroad hosted a proper YV centennial celebration. Since the museum has on property the two known remaining pieces of passenger equipment, YV Baggage #107 and YV Observation #330, putting a period YV train together was rather easy. Add the canyon run which closely resembles the Merced River Canyon, as well as steam on the front end with Quincy #2, and the runbys were spectacular. Other centennial events were held at Merced that day, and El Portal the Saturday previous, but this was undoubtedly THE event. For those interested in pics of the train in action, contact me off list at "wswift at ebold.com".
The 330 is coming along very well, and for all intents and purposes is complete on the exterior. After a brief layoff to recover from the big push to the centennial, we'll be back working on the interior soon.
