The manufacturers wouldn't put out the high-end ready-to-run if the market wasn't willing to put out the bucks for it. But these kids are growing up in a society that increasingly expects instant gratification... buy in, play with it for awhile, then move on to the next thrill. That goes for trains, planes, cars, cameras, recreation, spouses... you name it. Gotta have nothing but the latest and greatest, then move on when it gets old.

Cynical, I know. But look around us... am I wrong?
