I have been in and out of Railamerica (NYSE: RRA) stock a few times. I first became an RRA shareholder when I owned Railtex stock and RRA bought them out for Cash + RRA stock. The past 2-3 years RRA stock has moved sideways. The price tendered to RRA is a 49 percent premium over the last 60 day average share price. That to me sound a little bit high, I figure there must me some hidden value or unrealized gains in RRA to get such a price. If the sale goes through, it will become a privately held company.

I want to keep a rail stock in my portfolio, anyone have any investment thoughts on Wabtec?
