I'm thinking that we should be happy. Look at the lack of "diversity" in the trucking companies' schemes. We'll just hope that the real bean counters don't get a foothold in the RR marketing departments, where they will be sure to find the most boring, logo-less paint scheme imaginable (like the Schneider Trucking all-orange with just some tiny letters and numbers). I just went back through my photos from my trip yesterday and noted that 1 train out of 9 BNSF that I got had a "matching" consist, so we're talking about less-that-10-year-old stuff. Plus the fact that not even 1 SD40-2 was spotted. When you get a train with 3 or more of those, you are just about guaranteed a mis-match. That was the BNSF "side" of my work. The other was the UP with a 2-unit, all-CP mismatch. and 2 all-UP unit trains. Only one matched with a pair of "flags".
