Yes, Bieber, CA., was the meeting point between the GN/BN & WP/UP. After EwePee assimilated the Wobbly, the line basically went dormant, as Omaha was reluctant to cooperate on a run-through agreement that only benefited its major competitor. One of the conditions imposed on EwePee's assimilation of Espee was the granting of trackage rights to BNSF all the way to Stockton, CA. Don't know if the sale of the Bieber/Keddie portion was ordered, but it was a win/win for both RR's.
And yes, I did misspell Chemult in my earlier post.
