Winchester Rail Yard

Construction of the new Winchester Rail Yard is continuing as crews are starting to lay down some new tracks.
All American Track Tamping Incorporated from Arizona is in charge of building the new rail yard.
Yesterday crews started working on the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad’s main line in preparation for some switch installations. A total of seven sidings will be built in the new yard. Completion of the new rail yard is expected to happen in early September.
This fall CORP is scheduled to take a lot of pressure off of the old rail yard in Downtown Roseburg by moving most of their switching operations to the Winchester Rail Yard.
