Good question...Shay 2 is still on the operating roster of the Sierra Ry. and should be
seeing continued service out of Jamestown this summer & fall.
The Shay that is on display is 80-3 class former Pickering Lbr. Corp. #7, which last ran
over Labor Day Weekend of 1971 for PLA sponsered public trips from Middle Camp Road in Twain
Harte to Lyons Dam & back.
