M.U.ing the hydralics with EMD's was quite common. All came with standard 27-pin M.U. receptacles, Field Loop receptacles and 26-L brakes.
The only M.U. issue I'm heard of was that because the hydralic transmission took several seconds to complete the transfer process after the reverser was thrown in the opposite direction, switching with the units was somewhat of a nuisance, and became even more of an issue when the unit was M.U.ed to a normal-responding EMD.
