Not important - eh?
What is so unimportant about it, is really not very clear - and so what if it ain't new? It's getting progressively worse! As are many other youthful incivilities!
But try this on for importance:
Today is July 4th - Independence day - the day Americans traditionally celebrate the signing of the Declaration Of Independence by the Continental Congress in 1776.
The closing line of that hallowed document reads: "With a firm reliance on divine providence, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor"
Now those things mentioned there are important - certainly much more so than the ridiculous tagging of a bunch of old rust-bucket tank cars.
But will our children and grandchildren ever know what any of that really means - or that anyone ever even said them - and really meant it! Sadly, many have already lost sight of it - also because no one taught the kids - ever since the 60s.
NOW THAT IS IMPORTANT! - and such respect and commitment to "sacred honor" ain't new either!
