The railroad traverses a rather large trestle over the Sacramento River in Redding. Up north a few miles is a combined railroad/Interstate 5 bridge over the Pit River Arm. I've never been on the ground near this bridge but I did find an interesting aerial view. [commondatastorage.googleapis.com] During a recent drought year some old railroad bridges and a tunnel became visible in Shasta Lake.
