My guess is iron precipitates. Notice the second photo, water looks normal. I've stayed in Cumberland many times and didn't remember the water being unusual taste or coloration.

BTW, Tom, those are great shots. Makes me almost wish I hadn't moved to California to be with my grandbabies. No snow to shovel here!
