I worked the S.M. Ail Line in the mid 60's thru the mid 70's, out of Butte St Yard and later out of 8th Street yard. Once in a while (seniority permitting) I would bid in the Culver City Job that did all of the branch switching out of Culver City. The 5AM Air Line Job would switch all of the industries between Nevin Siding and Grand Ave, then proceed out to Sentous with the Culver City switcher's cars for Santa Monica, Alla and Hollywood branches. We would haul the cars that the Culver job had gathered up and take them back to Butte St Yard.
