Wow, that was a very interesting article. I always wondered why Bob left Alamosa - although the article didn't really say what the issues were there, and why he chose Golden, inasmuch as land is at a premium there. But I am amazed to see the improvements there since I last visited, shortly before I moved away from the Denver metro area in 1988. Very impressive what they've done there, and frankly so problem having the executive director not being a railfan. Definitely took a railfan to get it all started, but its a business now, and better to be run like one.

While I lived in Colorado, 1979-88, I would visit the CRM for my books and magazines, and could find Bob and ask him the most obscure questions, to which he either had the answer for, had research items at hand, or would say, "That's a good question!" Always fascinating to talk to.
