More disiformation from the usual well informed SMART/NWP sources? It sounds like just more useless speculation and wishful rumormongering form the anti SMART/NWP local train hating faction.......?

Neither candidate for Governor appears to have an exactly stellar or impressive record on transportation issues..... rail, or otherwise. Tweedle dee and tweedle dumb, if you ask me about either of them. But, despite these "kill the train" fantasies, this is a mostly locally funded project, supported by over 2/3 of the voters.

I'd say the self destructive, incompetent, and apparently still clueless CHSRA is in far more trouble with both parties in the legislature. This continuous track record of repeated incompetence has now resulted in potential additional legal chanllenges to the original bond vote. Worse, the recent management changes appear to have had almost no effect on the continued incompetent mismanagement of that project.

When the political mudslinging season is over, if the economy keeps tanking, with private demand for money/investment having effectively established a 0% real interest rate as of today, then it may take speeding up a lot more projects like SMART to put some people back to work..... regardless of who's the next Governor.

I'll wait on some facts and leave the "stop the evil train" SMART/NWP death wish fantasies to the really dedicated train haters....
