I was sorting through some of my Jitong slides that hadn't made my first cut five years ago when I put them into carousels. Remember carousels? Anyway. I found this one in which the original slide was too dark, but it seemed to be an interesting candidate for Photoshop. So I ran it through Photoshop and came up with this:
2-10-2's Meeting
I submitted it to RP and it was rejected and then accepted on appeal. I can understand the reason for the rejection, because when you lighten a slide in Photoshop using the shadow/highlight tool, it often produces something of an unreal "painty" effect. I rather like the effect, but I can understand why others may not. Also, it is not tack sharp.
Just curious as to how others view the result of this kind of (heavy) post processing of old slides.
