Vista Grande was not an official Sacramento Northern station name. As operation was extended south (railroad west) of Rio Vista Junction, names were given to the end of the line for publicity and promotion purposes. In some cases signs with that name were posted. As they wear out these signs are being removed. Eventually the only non-SN station name posted willl be GUM GROVE. That is a Western Railway Museum station name for the annual Pumpkin Patch operation. SOUTH PARK JCT. is on museum track, not former SN track.
Authentic SN station names with new signs posted are RIO VISTA JCT. and GARFIELD. MOLENA will be posted when operation gets there.
