Remnant of the old CCT X Street trackage?

....My job takes me in and out of Downtown Sacramento on a daily basis, and purely by accident this morning at the south east corner of 10th Street and X Street I noticed a wood white post of the right height and shape that would hold crossbucks. Nothing on it now, and any wording on it has been painted over. I dont think this would be a stop or traffic sign, those are all metal and this one isnt in the right spot to be one of those.

Question is whether this could be a remnant of the former X Street trackage that CCT used to maintain from roughly what is now Alhambra Boulevard down to Front Street near Miller Park.
