CORP Doings

A trip through Southern Oregon last week revealed the following :
1) Work is underway on the new Central Oregon & Pacific yard for Roseburg. The new yard is actually located some 7 rail miles North of town, near the old Espee station of Akin. Much track laying & ballasting was visible from the S/B Interstate 5 overpass @ M.P. 130.
2) A drive through Dillard revealed several CORP engines tied down for the weekend; a single unit & a 2 - unit set of red / grey geeps. Perhaps this is due to the yard work in Winchester, or maybe Dillard is a new on - duty point ???
3) Still lotsa centerbeam lumber cars stored in Grants Pass & Medford.
