The line east from Seneca was an Edward Hines Lbr. Co. road. Logs were loaded on flats with a Giffert at Summit Prairie. Trucks brought the logs to Summit Prairie. It was about 40 ~ 45 miles in length. Between Seneca and Burns was the common carrier Oregon & Northwestern, owned by Edward Hines. 45 miles in length. There was one tunnel on this line. USFS has filled the entrances to prevent entry.

From Burns (Hines) to Vale the line was UP. Its all gone now.

More likely you having a car accident and injury getting there and driving on the old ROWs, than being bitten by a Diamond Back. But listen for the buzz just in case.
