Ebbetts was gone before I was born, Polo Grounds was torn down too early for me to remember it, and I sadly have no memories of the New York Central either (I was a stupid child, for sure... I remember thinking that the Pennsylvania Railroad had simply changed its name to Penn Central.)

But all that being said, I'm so with you, Jim... even though the NYC I'm remmembering sounds like it was ten years later than yours...
