The good professor's logic regarding " ... ten airports & six competing airlines ... " as a guarantee against a repeat of 9 / 11 - style attacks is way off base. Recall that the ENTIRE U.S. AIRSPACE was shut down for over a week following 9 / 11. This includes the ten airports mentioned. Several Airline industry experts have stated that another such attack would likely be the end of commercial airlines in the U.S.
Pie-in-the-Sky ridership & revenue figures have become the norm in today's Transit initiatives. CA. HSR figures have been widely discredited before. Where does the good professor get HIS figures from ???
