Yes, P&L stands for Palouse and Lewiston. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, Spokane area locals were: Velox Switcher, Cheney Switcher, Kettle Turn, Hillyard Transfer (later evolved into the Mead Turn), CW Local, Hiball, Pullman Switcher (MWF Pullman-Julietta, Estes spur, Tue-Thurs.- Pullman-Genesee, Saturdays to Genesee as needed) Rosalia Switcher Covering Spangle to Palouse including former GN branches, after the MILW folded the WI&M local was added covering Palouse to Bovill. On the Kettle line there was the Valley local working between Kettle Falls and Valley, and 2 locals working north of Kettle, and a yard switcher in Kettle. There is also the Sandpoint Turn working between Yardley and Sandpoint nights and working the former GN main line east of Sandpoint days. I'm sure I've missed a couple somewhere.
