It is sad day 1996 and 2001. I keep telling myself, time to move on.
I've have two family member that work for the SP. One past and one retired.
Even though I still monitor the road channel on the hill. The procedure has
change. Track warrent and remote control helpers have taken over the Hill.
Only thing I really miss was the SP Dectectors. Their voice was smooth.
Thank goodness for Railroadradio.net. Caltrain and Metrolink still uses the
former SP Detector voice.

I still remember the Lincoln Detector. "SP detector milepost 115.4 48 mile per hour
no defect, no defect, total axcles 480.
