Winchester Rail Yard Dedication

The new Winchester Rail Yard just north of Roseburg will be officially dedicated this afternoon.
The 6 million dollar rail yard has been completed and today officials from RailAmerica, Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad,the City of Roseburg, shippers and local legislators will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.
A special passenger train is in town and ready for the dedication.
For today’s dedication CORP has brought in a Union Pacific Dome Car, number 7001, the “Columbine”.
The VIP’s will board at about 1:15 this afternoon near CORP’s downtown offices.
The passenger train special will be pulled by a freshly painted GP-20 locomotive, number 2005 and leave at about 1:45. The dedication ceremony will start promptly at 3PM.
