I work near a place that manufactures fertilizer. Not your typical kind though - the "organic" stuff!!!

It consists of natural oils and other nutrient matter like peat and top soil, but the worst part is the "fishy smell" from all the ocean fish parts that don't fit in the tin cans, or not edible by humans. I only get a whiff every two to three weeks because they are to the East, but you can always tell when they're cooking up a batch!

Once, one of the workers came into my store to buy some shop supplies. He took about a dozen shovels, and about 60% of my sense of smell for the day. The first thing that came to my mind was what his wife would think of him coming home smelling like that......
