Got a little board waiting for trains a couple days ago and decided I'd go visit the Riverside dualing depots to see how they were doing. Both the Santa Fe and Union Pacific stations look GREAT.
The trackside of the Santa Fe station isn't really accessible anymore though.

Here's the Union Pacific (Los Angeles & Salt Lake) depot from what would have been the street side. There is now a street on the trackside side, but the rail is embedded in it (ending before actaully connecting with the network.

Nothing to do about it now, but I do wish that Metrolink had used both stations (they could have built a shoefly that ran through the park that now separates the two buildings). Just dreaming, however... no need for anyone to jump in and say what a stupid idea that would have been... I'm not proposing it.
