Matt, I don't know this with any surety, however it was reported in Western RRer and
some of the folks that gave info to it included Doug Richter, Stan Kistler, Phil Kauke,
Stanley Borden and a host of other railfans of that day who have a great deal of
credibility. Since the event concerning 25 was referred to in the past tense, I feel
that there is a good chance that it did occur. Steam locomotive movements over
foreign rails were a good deal more commonplace back then too and both roads were
shippers over the SP. As far as photos of 25 on the YW, her tenure there could have
been so short that nobody covered it with a camera. The network between fans was a
lot slower back in those days.
