Reading between the lines in Philadelphia

If you look hard enough, you can live in the past along the former Reading Company lines, though it's tunnels, over it's bridges and around it's buildings. The Reading Railroad was so entrenched in the Philadelphia area, one wonders why the nickname for the PHILADELPHIA and Reading was not, instead, "The Philadelphia Company" (though Reading sounds more railroady?).

Enjoy your trip:

The Reading Terminal Headhouse: 2010

The Reading Train Shed: 2010

Tracks of the Reading (the abandoned Viaduct into Center City)

The Abandoned Tunnel under the City

Active Reading Stations (Gravers Lane)

And - the New Hope connection:

The New Hope Station Itself

Newly Restored Reading Wycombe Station

Hope you enjoyed your Reading Rambles!

/Mitch
