DODX has rid itself of many of these cars and now use newer cars. The most visual clue being the bearing box conversion from plain to rotating end cap roller bearing, as seen here. The current DODX cars have modern three-axle equalized trucks with heavier bearings. The cars like the one pictured usually cause an 'Integrity Failure' when passing over wayside hot journal detectors because the plain bearing box causes an inaccurate reading of the roller bearing shell.
Reporting marks are not critical for interchange billing or shipping because the UMLER computerized system has to keep track of current owners no matter what the marks read. This car also seems to be missing its AEI tag and other important stenciling.
OERM down in SoCal purchased a few of these nearly ten years ago, and all arrived with DODX markings and no AEI tags.
