Am I correct that part of the deal on M&ET getting GenSets was that the engine blocks of those 70-tonners being retired had to have holes driven in the blocks so they couldn't be used again?

If not, I'd like to see the ex-SP, ex-WCTU 70-tonners be saved. However, at $20,000 to transport each locomotive the long way around to southern Oregon, I doubt I'll see it happen.
