The That 70's (mostly) train show now moves into the realm of the Big Alcos of the SP. These are some earlier scans and are a taste of what is coming. If you don't like Alcos I am sorry, we are going to be here awhile. If you do like Alcos, relax and enjoy the ride.
Here are some scans done in the past. This is a taste of what is coming.
Me on an SP Alco C628, the 7109. This is a scan off a slide my father took in Roseville, CA. The big Alcos were then stored out of service, so I climbed up on one and he took the photo. My dad was an SP locomotive engineer so we went anywhere we wanted, including inside the shops.
SP Alco C628 3114 in Colton Yard, West Colton, California, USA, December 29, 1973.
Southern Pacific Alco C628 3116 near the SP hump yard in Eugene, Oregon, USA June 21, 1974.
Information, suggestions, comments and/or corrections are appreciated.
