The ex-MILW line through Eatonville, Wash. is not only still intact, but it is an active route. The line runs all the way south to Morton, and a portion of its south end is used by the Mount Rainier Scenic RR. There are also several freight customers along this route.

There is an existing wye on this route at Frederickson, just west of the Boeing plant. It forms the junction between the eastern line to Morton and the western line to Chehalis. In MILW days, the Chehalis route carried MILW run-through freights to Portland, using trackage rights on NP (later BN) from Chehalis to Portland.

Along the western line is an old rail shop at Western Junction, where the MILW line crossed an old Weyerhauser Lumber branch. The shop was, most recently, where American Orient Express maintained its rolling stock fleet before it moved to the Fort Lupton, Colo. shops of new owner Colorado Railcar.

The old Weyerhauser right-of-way is now a popular multi-use trail. Just south of Western Junction, near Rainier, it connects with another trail along the former NP Prairie Line right-of-way.
