Manager of Operating Practices. Previously known as a Road Foreman of Engines (or as a Traveling Engineer on some railroads) and is the low-level supervisor of engineers on a specific territory. But UP likes to build a better mousetrap, thus the Manager moniker. Likewise, we don't have Trainmasters, Terminal Superintendents or Road Masters anymore. Now they're called a Manager of . . . whatever.
